pioneer sc-1222 and no 5.1 on netflix

can someone please tell me why i cant get 5.1 decoded with netflix, just 2ch it started when i switched from a onkyo ht-180 to the pioneer sc-1222 ,please help..

What device acquires Netflix and how is it connected? Is this the same device and connection you used with your old receiver?

roku box,yes it is the same device and connection with old receive, it does not decode burned dvd movies anymore

If the Roku is set to output DD 5.1 and you are playing content with DD 5.1, then check the input setting on the AVR. Is it set to stereo? Also, the AVR display should tell you the format of the audio it is receiving.
