Image shifts.

I've been searching for a couple weeks for a solution to my problem with no luck. I am currently using a HTPC running windows 7 64 bit with a gtx 460 card which is feeding an Onkyo tx-nr709 that feeds to my Optoma HD20. I use xbmc for all my media and not all the time but about half of the time when I play a movie the whole image will shift to the left about 5% or so. Can no longer see the first row of icons on the screen and there is a black bar on the right of the screen. It will also do this when on Youtube sometimes. The only way I can get it back to full screen is to put the computer into sleep and wake it back up. Thank you for any help.

Do you have refresh rate switching on in XBMC? You probably have some overscan compensation enabled either in your graphics card settings or on your TV for that refresh rate.

I don't think it is xbmc causing the problem as it will happen sometimes if I go to youtube and switch to fullscreen mode to watch a video.
