display of my sony 3D bluray is not right (too big)

Hello group,
I just installed my JVC X35, I only use HDMI, I am able to watch direct TV with 3 D without problems, but when I tried my bluray sony, the images is too big, how do you adjust in the settings to fixed, the problem is the bluray, my receiver (sony too 3D) or the setting in my projector, i am using a screeen 120, etc. thank you for the input

Each of your units should have aspect ratio setting and maybe screen size settings. I would go into the set up menues and set the one that is off. No way of telling whether its in the player or receiver but you need to check the settings for the bluray input on the receiver too.

It was my HDMI cable, I changed and now the screen display from my blu ray is fine, some of my blu ray the sound is missing for some reason, my receiver is sony str dh 830

There is no way the HDMI could affect the aspect ratio size. Something change in the plug in, maybe you turned something off and on again. You will have to be more speciic on your sound problem. My guesss its selecting the right audo mode but without my I can not begin to daignose your problem.

How can you be so sure? That's just your opinion. I had a problem where a rainbow unicorn would appear in my image every 15 seconds. I replaced my cheap HDMI cable with a 3ft Monster HDMI cable I bought for $250, and it fixed the problem. You can't argue with results like that.

Yeah I had on like that too...not a Rainbow Unicorn, but was Tinkerbell..........she would fly out of the image and sprinkle pixi dust everywhere....biggrin.gif

a bad HDMI problem could cause you to lose picture, break up etc, but it won't change the aspect ratio nor will it do most anything. Its basically a bunch of connecting wires that caries various things, audio, video, some low votage power, etc.

Tell you what. Try your old HDMI wire again and see if the aspect ratio problem reoccurs. My bet is that it won't.
