I currently have an MSI E-350 that can get choppy at times under load. I have a 1 TB external hard drive connected via the mobo's USB 2.0 connector and I've heard that using USB is CPU intensive.
The case is an Antec ISK300-65. It came with an internal 135 watt PSU, but the power brick is only 65 watts. I've found inexpensive new bricks that will put out 120 or 135 watts and am considering upgrading there.
The next question is, if i get the 120 or 135 watt power brick, can it work with a triple core A6? Or should I go the Intel route? What CPU/mobo combo would work best? I have an HDHomeRun, along with lots of H.264 movies, and enjoy watching Netflix in HD.
Thanks,
James
