Moving. Can an on wall screen be mounted to a stand of some sort?

I have a Stewart 110" 1.3 wall mount screen. The house that we are renting has a bonus room where one wall is too small to fit my screen and the other side of the room has a wall that comes partially into the room but is not as wide as the screen. I was thinking that I could either screw a 2x4 onto the wall and extend it out to the screen width or perhaps have some sort of free standing frame to mount the screen on. I can't draw a picture here but imagine a rectangular room with angled dormers on one end and then a normal shaped room on the other end.

Any suggestions or experience with this type of situation?
