Hey guys, I'm still tinkering with the bottom of the barrel LED toy projectors like my Optoma PT100 but I might have a chance to get a decent deal on a little AAXA M2.
My PT100 is a native 16:9, 50 lumen LED pj, 858x480 (not AS bad as it sounds, I only watch movies at night on a 63" screen 9' away)
AAXA M2 is a native 4:3, 110 lumen LED pj, 1024x768
Now I watch movies using my PC (LG BluRay/HD player) via DVI to VGA cable and don't own or plan to own BluRay movies.
I don't watch any 4:3 content so aside from the AAXA M2's extra lumens, would the AAXAs higher resolution be a wash since I would lose some of those pixels when it displays 16:9 content, which will be all the time??
Basically, I'm content with these cheap LED toy pjs and if the AAXA won't look much sharper 9' away from the screen than my slightly lower res PT100, I'm just going to get the 100 lumen Optoma version of what I have. 858x480, 16:9 and 100 lumens.
Thanks, and no pity please, I'm quite happy with my dollar store pj right now lol!
