Pioneer PRO-FHD1 vs a newer Panny VT30

I have a Panasonic VT30 from a couple years back (55") right now, but the blacks don't compare to the PDP5020 I had (had to sell it when I moved :-( ).

A guy wants to sell me a PRO-FHD1. If it were purely decided on black levels, would you keep the VT30 (55") or get the PRO-FHD1? Gotta decide in the next 24 hours, so hopefully someone can help me out.

I think the only way to justify buying a Pioneer used is if it was a Kuro. I'd wait until you can pick up a 500m.

Hi,

I am not overly familiar with the USA model names of Pioneer plasmas before the last ninth generation models.

Is the PRO-FHD1 an 8G Kuro ?...

Unless rising black levels cause a thrill up your leg, I would avoid the Panasonic.

I'm in Cali. Looks like my PRO FHD1 might be short lived because I think its just about the same as my VT25 haha.
Great TV, but just 5" smaller. There is a 111FD available in my area now, probably sell the FHD1 and the VT25 , then get that.
