Marantz SR7400 display not working

I own a Marantz SR7400 AVR and it has been working great for a long time. But a couple a days ago the display on the front stopped working and is completly blank. I searched around and could not find any answers other than to open it and look for bad fuses. So I opened it but could only find 1 fuse. I took it out, but it both looks ok and measures ok with a voltmeter.

I also tried resetting the unit by holding the select and s.direct buttons for a couple of seconds. The unit does reset, but it doesn't help with the display problem. It seems to work fine otherwise. I can use the OSD and sound is coming out as it should.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can try next other than to send it in for service?

Yes, I forgot to mention that I already tried that. That was actually my first thought aswell.

No it's the small display on the front of the unit that is not working. I can see video and the menu just fine.

Does anybody know if there is a fuse behind the front panel? As I said earlier I could only locate one fuse, but another one might be hidden somewhere. I just don't want to disassemble the whole thing for nothing.
