Got a great deal on a Mits 84" and right now have too many tvs. I know poor me.
My 11 year old Pioneer 53" has a superb picture and as you all know is worth next to nothing.
I"ll be damn if I will give it away.

Thinking about the living room even though I have a nice lcd in there.
Kids do a lot of Xbox gaming ? What you guys think ?
Will the gaming quickly burn in the old rear projection or do other damage ?

BTW, already have a rather large LCD in bedroom with a wireless surround built into the tv
so I don't want to go there.............

What do you guys think ?

You mean 82" and I assume you're concerned about image retention. I didn't worry about gaming on my Hitachi 65" gave it to my daughter who games a lot as long as they don't leave it on and walk away from it. But kids will break everything regardless in my opinion. My daughter breaks everything, I gave her a customized car, she wrecked it and I was worried about her scratching the wheels , the Hitachi 65"......it's broke now and where's the remote?.

LOL yes I meant 82"

Yes they break everything I agree.

But this will be the main living room set am worried about burn in

on the games while the images on most games are set like health levels and such.

My daughter is about to start driving so thanks for that.....lol

My kids were excellent until they became teenagers, couldn't even sell them on the black market. My 65" is from 2001 and never had any burn in, still had a great picture but the convergence board went bad. My view was let the old set be enjoyed until it dies.
