So, I picked up the 330 yesterday from my local Best Buy. Purchased this SPECIFICALLY for the dual HDMI out as I don't have a 3D receiver just yet and this seemed like an easy way to hold me over until I get one.
I set it up last night and immediately downloaded the latest firmware (1.4).
Straight away, the player saw my DLNA server (Netgear ReadyNAS Duo) and connected to it. I was able to browse flawlessly. Folder hierarchy was exactly as it should have been, but I noticed as I drilled down into a folder that the .mkv inside, was not seen by the player. Went into the settings and checked to make sure I didn't have anything disabling it and then I saw the option for allowing network drives. I turned this on and started again.
This time I manually added my network drive via IP, Folder and user/pass and it connected just fine. When navigating through the network folder as opposed to DLNA, I can see all of the .mkv files just fine. Sat down and watched a 12GB 1080p movie beginning to end perfectly. Not a single hiccup the entire movie. I think the most impressive thing for me was that you can actually fast forward and rewind without waiting 10 - 20 seconds for the movie to catch up and rebuffer again. This was a huge problem when using my jailbroken AppleTV for the same purpose.
I have not yet inserted a bluray into the drive yet but my 3D TV is being delivered tonight so I will get to try a disc tonight. Hopefully the latest firmware update has corrected all of the problems you guys have been reporting.
One thing that I am worried about is the 1080i video output when running both cables. Again, I'll check this out tonight when I get home and report my findings.
All in all however, I am extremely pleased with the unit so far. AppleTV has found it's way back into the closet now!
