NR: newbie need advice on first screen for Epson 3010 projector

You should be okay with a 1.0 gain matte white screen.. I could not find your 3010 projector so I calculated with a 3020.. you may want to ask other for opinions.. i'f you on a limited budget check out Jamestown and Monoprice.. great screens..

It seems the tool is mainly for non-3D? my understanding is that for 3D the brightness is lower so I am wondering if a higher gain screen is needed.

what are the tradeoffs between

- higher vs. lower gain
- white vs. gray
