V!-1512 Replacement 12" Sub Speaker

I have a '97 Velodyne VA-1512 that is in need of a new 12" speaker. I am trying to find the impedance specs for the speaker to try and find an appropriate replacement, but have been unable to find anything on the Velodyne website or on any forums. If someone can let me know the specs, I would really appreciate it. It has given me 15 years of faithful service, so if I can find a decent price for a good replacement, I am going to go that direction.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

How much is your budget?

I have not really set one yet, as I am not sure what the speakers go for now days. Would like to find a replacement that is comparable to what was in it, and not break the bank given that the other components are 15 years old. Was trying to get the impedance specs to see what the price options were... I know, not much help to your question probably...

Thanks

There's a Velodyne support thread in this forum I'd ask there too.

Do you have a DMM(multi meter)? If so set it to ohm and check the driver terminals. They should tell you the approximate resistance unless the coil is toast?

If the reason for replacing the speaker is a rotted surround ... re-foaming kits are quite inexpensive and readily available.

Just a thought,
