What subwoofer is pictured in the picture?

Any news on when their new subs are coming out or what they are or anything? That article is like 7 months old.

Looks like a row of 12" Axis drivers to me. I could be wrong though. Maybe 12" LMSR? The top plate looks huge!

I think your right about those pics being Axis subs since they appear to be quad VC's. Your right about the top plate though, I am thinking an OEM maybe?

The new LMS-R 15's are due at PE in early June so we should find out a lot more by then. I know they discontinued the Pro 5100 so if you have ever thought about getting one you better get it now.

They did? Awwwww!

The Pro 5100's are on clearance right now at PE for $880, they use to be over $1,200 if I remember correctly.

I have always been tempted by those subs, must resist the urge biggrin.gif

I noticed. I just figured they weren't selling well at that original price...which they weren't. tongue.gif

They are awesome and I'd like to get one...erm, two. biggrin.gif

What makes the pro sub pro and compared to the lms 5400 how do they compare?

I don't quite know what a pro sub is?

Pro subs are generally about getting loud efficiently at 30hz and above. The Pro 5100 is a little different in that it will also get low but not as low as the LMS Ultra. The Pro 5100 has the edge at about 40hz and above over the LMS Ultra which is more meant to dig down deep in the nether regions of bass. I did hear what the Pro 5100 is based on, the Aura 1808, in the Wilson XS sub which used 2 1808's and was ported in a huge cabinet tuned to about 15 or 18hz. It was at a High Fi show and they used 2 of them driven by the biggest Krell mono blocks I have ever seen. Talk about bass that went right threw you, pretty much started my bass obsession right after that demo.
