Hey rare poster here, more of a lurker. I'm not an expert by any means, so I thought I'd give it a shot and see if anyone can help a newbie out please. Used this forum to help me decide on a pioneer 5.1 speaker system and helped to get it set up as well.
I have a Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K receiver that I bought back in 2009 or 2010, I can look it up from Amazon to see exactly when if needed. Recently I kinda suddenly noticed the picture was being discolored, especially in the red range. At first I thought it was the TV or the HDMI cable, but I hooked everything directly to the TV and it works fine. What I had was my Time Warner cable HD-DVR, Xbox 360, PS3, and TV all running to the receiver. Now all of a sudden the picture has been messing up, it looks red and pixilated (spelling I know) is the best I can think to describe it. I can take a picture and try to upload it if that helps.
Any advice on how to proceed from here? I know it's not a top of the line receiver, but I'm on a teachers budget and hate to just go out and buy a new one if its something I can fix.
Thanks in advance for any information you can give me. If it is dead.....lets hope its not though....any advice on a good replacement would be welcome as well. I try to go with a good mid-line level on a lot of stuff as I don't get into messing with many settings and just want good sound and picture mainly with a potential to grow and do more down the road if I learn more.

Any input on a reliable receiver with good sound that doesn't break the bank? I don't want to just get something cheap....but I also don't want to drop a ton of cash on it either if something cheaper will still produce great sound for games and movies.
