Sorry for the delay, I had an issue with my Dropbox account. I have the link for my fixed blu-ray version and now a new AVCHD(strict) w/Pop-up menu version. Enjoy and let me know of any issues with either format.

Just tested the avchd on my panny 310 and it seems to work pretty good, the pop up work fine.

The only thing it was missing was the 0% patterns for the 10 and 20 greyscale runs for the HCFR users.

Other than that it looks sweet and I cant wait to tinker around with it tomorrow.

Thanks again Mascior.

EDIT; The only two things that would help out to make your disc more universal is..

1. Add the 0% pattern for the 10 and 20 greyscale runs for all pattern sizes so HCFR users dont have to use the black screen from the contrast section before they take greyscale measurements.

2. Add the 75% and the 100% ire patterns at the end of the color runs, like you have it at the begining but add it after magenta pattern as well to be useful with HCFR.

I just finished up the color checker section for all my window sizes, added a 0% stimulus pattern at the beginning of each 10 & 20 step grayscale sweep, added 75% & 100% gray/white at the end of every primary/secondary sweep, and made a few cosmetic changes to the menus. I have a few small changes that I am still working on but plan to have REV003 uploaded in the next day or so.

great progress again Mascior

Looking forward to this!

I'm using the avs-hd disc, which is great, with chromapure.

Just completed my third attempt at calibrating my tv, so i have much to learn.

I would like to thank you for your effort so far. smile.gif

for some reason the sharpness and overscan pattern doesn't show all the scaling/resolution patches correctly (in bottom left square and top right square)... this is with rev002 of the AVCHD version

I will check to see if it's a design flaw or an AVCHD transfer issue. If I find anything I will address it and the fix will be in my next REV. Thank You.

Do you patterns have instructions on how to use them?
You mention CP .. do these patterns work correctly with Calman?

the sequence for grayscale and gamut is not exactly right for CM... but I guess you could go back and forth via the pop-up menu to make it work if you really wanted to

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I cannot get this to play on my Mac. Is this a PC program?

Sorry for the ignorance! smile.gif

No problem...this isn't a PC program. My calibration disc is designed for playback on bluray players, both the AVCHD and BD version.smile.gif

Problem fixed...good catch! The revised sharpness pattern will be in REV003. Thanks!

REV_003 is posted! The new color checker section is only accurate with Chromapure's color checker. I addressed a few issues from REV_002, added 0% stimulus patterns at the beginning of all grayscale sweeps, added 75%/100% white at the end of all color sweeps, and made a few cosmetic changes. Please let me know of any issues!

Good looking out Mascior...Thanks very much.smile.gif

Can this be burned to a DVD-R on is it still only for BluRay?
I was going to try to burn it to a DVDRW, if I can find one I'll let you know. The AVCHD might work when burned to DVD.

Yes, the AVCHD version can be burned to dvd and played back on most bluray players without any issues.

with the 75%/100% color sweep patterns, is that 75% Saturation or Amplitude? I notice the patterns say 75% A and 100% A, so I'm assuming Amplitude. 75% Saturation patterns would be useful to people like me who calibrate at 75% Sat..

Yes, you are correct. The "A" stands for amplitude. You can access 75% saturation patterns in my color sweep section and navigate around using pop-up menus. I will add 75% rec709 patterns in a future revision but since this process is so time consuming, I will be taking a break on any new additions and only addressing issues.smile.gif

Mascior, Do your patterns have any textual or written instructions on how to use them?

Really impressive work, Ryan. The disk seems to have everything I need. And your menu configuration is superb.

Thanks,

+1 agreed to the fullest.

Adding the 0% black in the greyscale run and putting the 75/100 windows at the end of the color run helped tremendous with HCFR.

Thanks again Mascior baby..smile.gif
