Flooring I'm putting mostly carpet and also doing some vinyl flooring. The vinyl will be a product called Allure from home depot. Its easy to lay down and waterproof. It'll go around the wet bar and in the washroom.
Thanks for the comments. Keep them coming.
Worked three straight days and was able to get the subfloor fastened into the concrete. That was such a pain using tapcon because the hammer drill bit kept snapping. I went through about 13 of them. $10 a pop. I definitely learned how to make them last longer near the second half of the ~250 or so screws that we put down. You have to do short bursts and make sure you raise the drill a couple times instead of just driving straight down. The concrete needs to clear out or move around or it'll cause the bit to snap.
Wet Bar Cabinets
Built all the base and wall cabinets and will start hanging them tonight. Once that is done we can start putting in the doors for them and order the counter top. I'm going to order a Acrylic counter top in Pebble White color.
Washroom Shower wall Tile
Spent about 8 hours yesterday tiling the shower wall. I'm fairly pleased with the results considering my dad and I have never done tiling before. If I ever do this again, I'll make sure that the walls all around are totally plumb. They are not so if you look closely you can see the tiles are not totally level. A few stick out more than others but overall it looks great. Grouting will start in a couple days. Thinking of doing a white grout but not 100% if I should change to a grey instead. Any thoughts?
Started putting in the wall outlet covers and cutting holes for the speakers. The center channel speaker hole is cut and speaker is placed. The rear surrounds will go in next.
A few pictures on how things look:
