I have enjoyed all the information on this forum and find it extremely helpful but finding myself falling into being confused as I am guessing I am over thinking this too much. What I am doing is finishing my basement in my new house and want to know how big I can realistically get with the size I can project for my home theater. I have an older Sharp 1080i projector from about 10 years ago (maybe 9 or 8 years ago?) and in the older house I had a the screen roughly 6 feet tall (4:3). I am not as fortunate with the room I am now as it is much shorter. I am willing to upgrade the projector and get a motorized screen if it will help but want to know what I should expect the screen size to be able to go when the room is 14 foot long with 8 1/2 feet from floor to ceiling? What would be the ideal projector (3D would be nice but not a deal breaker) to reach that size? Thanks for any advice in advance!
