Home Theater guru's.
I have posted several times about a projector for my home theater and I appreciate all the advice on all those topics. I think I am narrowing my choice down to the EPSON 8350 or the Benq W1070 as they are in the $1,200 or below range. I wondered if anyone had any strong advice between the two and between DLP and LCD? I also plan on having a screen size of 125 inches wide and wondered if that made a difference? I have heard good things about both and negatives about both as well as for DLP and LCD and thought I would try one more time to ask for advice. I also MAY consider the jump to the Epson 3020 if there is a big increase in display (other than 3D).
Anyway, I am stuck here and sort of wanting some final advice before I pull the trigger. My budget for the projector is $1,200 but could go up to $1,500 if there is a great deal or great advantages. I would like the biggest bang for the buck and would also like the best picture for the 125 inch wide screen.
One advantage of the Epson is that I can get it at my local Crutchfield retailer (they have two in central VA) so if I have any issues, I can ask them directly. THe Benqs only seem available online.
Thanks so much in advance.
