Love the stage, that's exactly what I plan to do as well.cool.gif

Was there no need to secure one section of riser to the other? I suspect not, but no mention - so I ask. wink.gif I feel sure that two layers of 3/4" flooring will keep them in place, and as long as they're shimmed well, no one rocks or wiggles.

And I hope there is someone around to take a few pictures of the ceremonial sanding.

Edit - you know, among all the "show me" threads, there ought to be one to show yourself hauling sand.

Im sorry folks, I have quite a journey from my driveway to the basement so I will be utilisizing the help of a wheel barrel.. But, I will have the wife snap a few pics and post them..
You shouldn't say that. You can do it, but don't tell anybody wink.gif

Actually I would wheel the sand right up to the stage, then instead of lifting the bag and putting on the floor before using for the stage, open the bag sitting in the wheel barrow and lift it directly to the stage bay being filled, that is one less lifting. Just the industrial engineering in me.

Calculated like a true egineer.. I will use a little bit of elbow grease and actually bend, lift, and pour.. I cant take the sissy way out on this one, everybody is watching..

Well Big I was able to pick up 20 more bags of sand yesterday. It started raining While I was hauling/wheeling the bags of sand around to the basement so I had to put them in the garage for now.. Too bad you could not stick around for the Preakness, you missed all the titties oops I meant festivities. It was actually a great time this year. If the weather permits, I will get back on my HW assignment today.

Yeah MFUSIC, I loaded some, but I ran out and had to get more. BIG will post the finished product so forgive me for the sequence of pics.. I used nearly 60, 50 pound bags and my back and arms are shot now. This was over the course of 3 days..

Regarding the post above, NOT being a vegetarian myself, I find it highly amusing and funny! biggrin.gif

It's official, NYGF23 has joined AVS Theater Builder Club and successfully moved 60 bags, from the shelf into his SUV, into the theater and into the stage. No pansy A$$ delivery service. There was mention of needing help getting the tamper resistant cap off the Ibuprofen.

He also joins double bag inner circle of AVS builder elite.

Ready for the topping

That's jam up fellas... lookin' good... I look forward to the finished product!

Did the tires look flat as you rolled out of the parking lot? I don't think a lot of SUV's tolerate a 3000lb payload very well. maybe you had to make a couple trips...
