Is my LG Passive 3D TV defective? Please help. (Video included)

I recently purchased an LG 55inch LM6700 and I noticed something really weird when watching 3D. I'm using a PS3 to play the discs. When the glasses are taken off, you see a double image (left and right eye images). Even if I pause the movie, the double image keeps fluctuating. What's happening is that the separation between them is increasing and decreasing randomly. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. This is happening even when the movie is playing resulting in depth changes in the overall image. I'm wondering if my TV is defective. The parallax increases and decreases randomly. I thought maybe that's how most BDs are encoded but it's happening even when the picture is paused. It keeps on fluctuating.

Notice the parallax/image separation that keeps randomly increasing and decreasing. It's supposed to stay constant but it doesn't. Is my TV defective?
I'm using a PS3 to play the blu-ray. This is happening with every 3D Blu-ray where the image separation keeps changing, even when the movie is paused. (The movie in the video is the menu from The Avengers 3D.)

Remember only one actual image is being displayed at a time either the left eye image or the right eye image. This is also true for a paused single frame since the switching of the left eye image and the right eye image still has to occur. The glasses insure that you only see the left eye images with the left eye and the right eye images for the right eye. Without the glases you will the left eye images with both eyes and the right eye image with both eyes

You are not seeing things: my new LG 42LM6410 (equivalent panel and electronics to 6700) was doing something similar until I updated to the latest firmware via the internet (v4.20.xx I think).

I suggest you update the firmware and see if that helps.

It doesn't fix pixelation on high contrast fast moving objects, but does seem to help with the jittery parallax issue and also improves Trumotion a little.
