Is anyone with a X4000 and dual subs mixing dis similar subs as in an SVS cylindrical sub with a smaller sealed sub? I ask as I have a SVS PC12Plus and cannot possibly fit another and stay married at least
But I might be able to get a smaller sealed sub to fly under the radar at back of the room. Is it asking too much of the 4000 to make that work or should I stick with identical subs? I did try a 20 year old Yamaha sub and it didn't work all the well. This was never a good sub so I don't know if it was the sub or just that the 4000 dual sub calibration works best with similar subs.
If you have two non-matching subs and you use Audyssey XT32, they will be equalized together, which results in the less capable sub determining the overall bass response.
