Dead Pixel on new Sony TV

Thread Starter
I just got my Sony XBR TV delivered. Mounted it and noticed a DEAD PIXEL! I've owned a few Sony TV's in the past and never had dead pixels. Is this normal?
They are sending someone to pick this up and then will send me a new one. When I called Sony directly, they said they cannot replace and will only repair so I ended up calling the retailer. Sony's should be top notch quality....

Damn... I hope your new tv is flawless. I think all LCD manufacturers have a quota on the amount of dead/stuck pixels needed before they replace the tv.

Every TV manufacturer is prone to stuck/dead pixels

This is why i would never get a TV online unless the price was ridiculously low than a local retailer.
you have 50/50 chance of getting on with one problem or another then have to go threw hassle of shipping back and waiting longer just to get another one that could be worst

Honestly depending on the color and location of this pixel if its not noticeable unless you have to really look for it I would keep with one pixel

you might have 1 pixel on this one and then could have even more problem on your replacement
