They're used to it. The only other huge financial turkey this year (After Earth) was also from Sony.

Don't say this about too many actors/actresses but here goes...Jamie Foxx = horse's rear end. Had an interview with him and just a complete jerk. Not an "I'm out of sorts" interview" but a "this isn't national so I'm treating you like crap" interview. Almost like he wanted to piss someone off so he could argue. Came off as a militant with an ax to grind. Refuse to this day to watch anything he's in.

He's a total POS, I'm done watching any movie he is in regardless of how awesome it is. That aside he is not a good actor at all, I have no idea why he keeps landing star roles other than connected/politics. His performances in Law Abiding Citizen and Django were lackluster at best given the contrasting performances. He peaked with In Living Color with many others from that show as far as I'm concerned.

Dang son.

If you refuse to watch a movie because you don't think the actor is a nice person, you shouldn't watch any movies. Most actors are egotistical a-holes. It's part of the job description.

I would admit Jamie Fox's skyrocket of a career puzzles me.

Absolutely correct, Josh. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes...some bigger than others. I try to keep that in mind but there are some I simply can't dismiss because it's their modus operandi. You forgot uneducated, too. You'd probably be surprised as to the number that have a high school education or less. My friend (the actor) told me the nicest people around are the ones born and raised in Southern California. The real jerks are the ones that moved there.

That stuff is part of the reason I avoid interviews, reviews, and what not. I don't want behind the curtain if possible.

Wish that was the case. Client calls, buy is made, interview is scheduled. Don't get me wrong. The vast majority are pleasant but it's always the one or two that stick in your memory because of how horrible they were.

Similar movies at the same time = herd mentality same thing is found in the animal kingdom, Wall street , silicon valley ,venture capitalists copy cat tech start ups ,auto industry, black friday sales, iPhone release
etc.

All they had to do was cast B Willis along side Tatum as his son, call it Die Hard 5 - White House 911 and people would have loved it.

Funny how you guys are going on about the actor & not the stupid script and the guys who produced it.
Not that I consider Mr Fox a great thespian, but jeez..he's one of many being paid tons of money to act
out these cartoons the studios obviously want to put on us these days.

His comment was asinine, but those posts to Facebook are just as asinine.

Okay, after doing some checking, which I always do but should have done before my original post, I now realize that is a spoof and Foxx never made those comments. However, it hasn't occurred to those posting stupid comments on Facebook that it is. Suckas. biggrin.gif

I did search elsewhere and only got other articles about his position on the case which were different only slightly.

Are you sure about that Oink? it's pretty simple math and business "Hollywood affirmative action" . It's not a matter or talent or skill, it's a matter of studios finding a way to reach into the pockets of other demographics without having a Spike lee or Tyler Perry film.

I am somewhat red-faced that I did not catch this. I will put this on my list of sites not to use for verification. My apologies to one and all, including Mr. Foxx. I am a goofus. tongue.gif

LOL! Foxx is a dimwit, but not that much of a dimwit to say something like that in public.

There are many excellent black actors working today.
IMO, Mr. Foxx is not one of them.wink.gif

I'm really surprised and didn't know there was this much anti-Foxx sentiments here. I just remember lots of love for Foxx when Ray came out...and for Collateral too.

I couldn't stomach a force feed BS like Ray but that's just me. I'm fine with everything else he's done. Sure he's a smidgen not as talented as Denzel or Will Smith but for entertainment he's tolerable and not remotely annoying as a James Franco, Jonah Hill, Chris Tucker or Chris Rock.
