Blackflame Gain & Similar Commercial Material?

Hey all,

About 5 years ago, I had a 110" blackflame screen made by Maxx on PVC and have loved it as a dedicated fixed screen in my home theater. Unfortunately, I have to move my theater to our main living area, which means I need to switch to an electric screen. I've had the blackflame screen up against the wall temporarily in that room and it looks pretty nice for day and night time viewing even with low-to-moderate ambient light.

Does anyone recall the gain of the blackflame mix on PVC?
Anyone have any idea of a commercial material (perhaps HCCV or CV from Da-lite?) that might 'come close' to matching the blackflame in properties and performance? I'm fine investing in a good electric screen- just trying to find an electric option for the fixed set up I already have...

Thanks in advance...

Hi Gary,

I was the one who received your email. I tried to reach Pete, but he did NOT return my call. mad.giftongue.gifwink.gif

You can easily enough acquire a Mfg Electric Screen and coat it with the latest iteration of the older BF paints, Silver Fire v2.5 5.0

Read this Thread and look at the photographic evidence.

..........and be advised, even the least expensive Mfg Screen offerings out there that can do anything similar to what is represented on the linked-to Thread cost well over $3000.00+, so a little extra effort on your part can pay great dividends and wind up costing you only a fraction as much ($650/700.00 screen inclusive)
