Possible EDID issue

Hi there,

I'm wondering if I am experiencing an EDID issue when connecting my TV-AVR-HTPC.

Previously I had dual outputs, one to the tv and one to the receiver so I could also have frame packing 3D with a 1.3 receiver.

But I have moved to a single output (for various reasons) running from AMD 6670->Pioneer VSX-1018->Samsung PS50C7000.
I have the latest AMD drivers installed (and have tried various other version drivers).
Basically when I shutdown or put the HTPC in standby, when I restart it the signal is not found on the TV. I will get sound, but no picture.
The only way I have to guarantee it starts correctly is to switch off the power for a short while to all the components.
Also, when I switch input on the receiver to a HD-XA2 I have the same issues (both with the HD-XA2 not finding signal) and with returning to the HTPC where the signal is also lost.

The HD-XA2 is less of a concern, but the HTPC is causing major issues.
I'm assuming this may be related to EDID incompatibilities/handshaking?

I assume the Gefen HDMI detective would be the easiest permanent fix but I don't want to spend $225 NZD if I can get away with an EDID fix.

cheers

An EDID override could help. Try the attached mod:

Samsung PS50C7700+HD Audio.zip 1k .zip file

Thanks Tulli, I presume this will work with my Samsung, even though it is a different model? (PS50C7000)
Or do I need to provide you with the Moninfo output?

It should work with your Samsung.
