I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. I have been out of the game for quite sometime and I am now shopping around for a new receiver in the 400-500 dollar range that can decode HDMI audio. Seems like everything now in this price range is 3D pass-through and setup for ARC. I have an old Samsung LN46a650 so no ARC for me. Also, the optical output from my tv would be stereo. Looks like I have to run separate optical cables from my devices, but some of these new receivers do not have too many optical inputs. Its just a little frustrating that my old Sony HT-CT100 could take all of my HDMI inputs and have just one HDMI cable to the TV. So do I have any modern options that you guys could suggest or should I be looking for something a few years old?
