So, I've been reading up on the new Cinevista lens and the Chromatic Correction that comes with certain projectors. I've mentioned a few times in this forum that I have a HTB lens with the correction element. The element works to a degree, but I definitely still notice CA at the edges of my screen. Am I right that apart from noticing purple fringing on text that it also contributes to the loss of focus at the edges? I would love to get a new fancy lens, but it's just not in the cards right now (damn the home renos!). If this correction will work on the new Cinevista lens it should also work for any lens that has chromatic aberration, should it not? I'd eventually like to get the U480 or some similar variant but again I don't have the funds for that right now. I'm thinking that if a lot of the newer projectors come out with this CC feature it may eventually trickle down into more budget projectors. Here's hoping.
