X-Rite's i1Diagnostics 4.0.0.127 Released

i1Diagnostics allows you to test your X-Rite measurement instrument functionality and update licenses on your device. Use of this application by end users is recommended when problems are experienced with the measurement instrument. i1Diagnostics creates a report which can be sent to X-Rite support for further investigation if problems persist.

The latest version of i1Diagnostics (4.0.0) supports the following instruments:

• i1Pro
• i1Pro 2
• i1iO

Please use the previous version (2.5) for the following instruments:

• i1iSis
• i1Display 1 & 2

You can download i1Diagnostics 2.5 here: www.xrite.com/support/i1Diagnostics

thanks for the link...

I ran it on my rev d i1pro and it mentions:

"Instrument information
Instrument inspection: Successful
Serial number i1Pro:
Type: i1Pro
Revision: D
Firmware version: 505
CPLD version: 999
Dark measurement count: 244638
Lamp burning time: 1594.9 seconds
Spot measurement count: 3896
Scan measurement count: 282
Factory calibration: 2/17/2010
Spectral Module ID:"

Does this mean my meter is about 3 years old? Or does it just mean it was sent back to X-Rite in Switzerland for factory re-calibration/re-certification on 2/17/2010?

Also what does the following mean?

"Instrument Licenses
Measurement Modes: [Reflectance Spot, Reflectance Scan, Emission, Ambient Light Spot, Ambient Light Scan]
Licensed functionality: [Has Ambient Light, Spectral values, Tristimulus, Density]
Licensed Modules:
i1Match Module "Scanner": NOT licensed

Exactly, Only the X-Rite can access the i1PRO1/2 internally to change these informations. I have send mine to Switzerland and that date was updated after receiving it back. Firmware version stayed the same.

Just download the iMatch software and see what you can use with it. Make sure you start up the software first, then connect your i1Pro.

Your Registed Licencies are correct. The 'NOT Licenced' features were for X-Rite's iMatch or iProfiler Software only. You need i1Publish Upgrade A or B to unlock them if you have i1PRO2 or i1Photo Upgrade if you have i1PRO1, If you enable these extra licences when you can use the included accesories of i1PRO, Ruler, ColorChecker etc. No usage for Display Calibrations etc.

so the build date for my meter could be before 2010?

We can't see the build data, a DEV tool maybe is showing that. This Data shows only your last Factory Calibration Date.

By Unknown reason, today X-Rite has removed i1Diagnostics 4.0.0.127 from their website and they bring back as the latest version for download the v2.5.1.
