I think I put as much time into them as I did putting together the cabinets, I think their a nice touch, not sure how much they really help, but I like them. I have them under my other subs and I stained them and used oak stair treads, on these I'm picked up some laminated shelves from home depot for the tops and am going to paint them black!

Well crap I`ve hit a snag while attempting to install the binding post. One, I couldn't find my 1/4 bit and I didn't realize I need spades to hook up the wires from the woofer, for some reason I thought it had a banana plug in it. So, I went to lowes to get a bit and RS is closed, hopefully I can find some spades or I`m up the creek until next week:mad:

have a soldering gun? you can just solder the tabs on. not sure which binding posts your using. also, Lowes sells spade connectors

No soldering gun, don't know how to do it. I'm using the Dayton BPA-38G. Lowe's didn't have any spades.

I realized last night I was looking in the wrong section, in the audio section where connectors are, stupid me, should have been in the electrical isle, going back in awhile.

First one done, a bit tricky to get the wire hooked up inside as I wanted to keep the length to a minimum. Connected the spades to the wire and then connected the spades to the post then put the rest of the polyfill in.

The tolerance of the driver is very tight, i did the recess with duratex and it was very tight, I had to use a hammer to tap it in.

Here's 3 out of 4, not moving the other one over!

Looks awesome! I am very impressed. Thanks for taking a lot of the detailed pictures as they will be sure to help me in the future. Stupid question but does any of this stuff come with instructions?? wink.gif. Those look like monsters. You should download superleo's new bass demo disc to try them out when you get time. Your house will probably implode!! Congrats! Would love to hear your thoughts...but I know there will likely be a lot of toying/tinkering for some time.

No instructions on any of this ****, just ask here or look online. This will make me sound like a tech tool, but the download, do I download that to my pc then burn to a cd and play on my cd player?
You download the discs and then burn to either a DVD or Blu Ray (all the segments fit on one blu ray or 6 individual DVD's). The link to the second one is: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1469192/reference-2-blu-ray-demo-disc-bd9s-bd50 The link to the first one is: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1391873/reference-blu-ray-demo-disc-bd9-dvd-dl-media-bd50

It can be a little frustrating putting the disc together but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty cool and a lot of neat reference material all in one place! What did you end up doing with your Rhythmics?

I don't have a Blu Ray burner so I don't know if I will do that or not, thanks for the info though. Still have them, their for sale!
On another note, I just started to hook up the amp to my pre/pro and plugged this thing in, the fans are loud as hell, didn't expect that. Also, as far as the settings go, should I have the clip limiter on/off, the HPF off? Going to start making wire.
I would leave both off. Definitely leave the high pass off at least.

I don't have a blu ray burner either, I use the DVD burner. There are six different segments, each about 30 mins long. If you have a DVD burner, I would give at least the bass demo disc a try with the quads smile.gif

Brian, I am running my wire, I assume its ok to have different lengths on the same wire, going to the far sub, go back to the closer one and cut off the excess?
Different lengths at your distances won't matter. Go + to the + on the first sub. Then from the + on the first sub to the + on the second. Do the same for the - side. Those binding posts will hold two twisted bare ends easily.

I`m using banana`s, kind of hard to get the doubled up end in one though!
Try putting the bare ends in from Both sides of the hole. - 0 -
