I would like to see some as well. There have been a couple posted based on other TVs but I was not impressed.

In my case definitely yes. Just two years ago I purchased an open box Sony 46 inch XBR8 from Best Buy for $1600 and for the first time in my life a 5 year warranty. Last week while watching HD the picture died (vertical lines). I called the Geek Squad (heard lots of bad things) and they sent a technician out. He said if they can get the part he will repair the TV or if they can't get the part a comparable new TV. A few days later I got a call from Harry at the Geek Squad and said the part was no longer available and to go to Best Buy for a new TV. He told me to make sure that they give me credit for 3 more years of unused warranty (nice of him).

To make a long story short you don't get back what you paid but you do get a comparable TV (in my case $1299). Since I wanted a bigger TV I upgraded to the 55F7100 for an extra $300. They also gave me the 3 year additional warranty

Today they are delivering my 55F7100 and are suppose to remove the old TV and setup the new TV. So far a good experience.

I also will be looking for a good calibration.

I just picked up 55 inch F7100 this weekend to replace my Panny 55" ST50 for gaming. I had some IR on my Panny from BF4. Its starting to go away a bit, but its been a long drawn out process. Anyway, I had the Geek Squad warranty and they ended up issuing me a refund towards a new set.

Long story short..If anyone has calibration settings for this TV...I would greatly appreciate you sharing them...

This is the calibration I am currently using and it is the best one out by far imo! Also, how is the input lag for gaming on the f7100? I'm currently only using my unf55f7100 for blueray movies. I've read that if you hook up your hdmi to hdmi 4 from your tv to your console you will get even less input lag.

Thank you for posting a link for calibration settings for this TV. I actually tried these settings myself and thought the picture looked a biy washec out. So I reverted back to the original settings and now use movie mode to watch programing. I did turn down the backlight to 11 though and really like this mode a lot.

Now I am coming from a Panasonic ST50 which noticeably has better contrast and deeper black levels than my Sammy F7100. However, the Sammy looks really crisp and as a lot of visual pop.

Before picking up my F7100, I was gaming on my Panasonic ST50. I primarily play Battlefield 3 on Xbox Live so input lag is very important to me. After hooking up my Xbox to the F7100, I have definitely noticed improved input lag compared to the ST50. How can I tell? My weapon firing and hit dection is more responsive. I can feel it in my controls. I m not sure about improved input lag using HDMI 4. I ll have to try that out. I do play with game mode on as well.

I want to pick UN55F7100. I see a seller on Amazon , US-Appliances for 1697$. It shows fulfilled by Amazon. He is not charging Sales tax for my state.
Did anyone brought tv from this seller? How reliable he is. Just want to know if someone brought from US-Appliances. Appreciate it.

As long as it is fulfilled by Amazon, it is like buying from them. It uses Amazon's return policy and you go through Amazon for support.

I've bought product before from amazon that was "fulfilled by amazon". That is, the seller ships the product to amazon for shipping/fulfillment purposes. In general, have had good results. However, if the same item is available from "sold by amazon" at the same or similar price point, I'd pick that over a reseller. There might be issues down the line with warranty claims if the product is not sold by an authorized seller..

Best advice is to read the amazon feedback. Also check out http://www.resellerratings.com/store/US_Appliance .

Really for big ticket items, I prefer a local source. Most will match online prices these days and you only have to pay the tax. If you have a credit card with price matching options, you might be able to work an extended warranty into the deal for little or no cost. Rather than price matching the item, discount the warranty instead. Do your price claim with the credit card. Net result will similar price as online, with the tax cost covering the extended warranty.

Hello all,

I just purchased a new Samsung UN60F7100 TV. I have a Yamaha RX-A800 Receiver. Before this new TV I had my Sony and Yamaha hooked up using ARC. When I would switch to the built in Netflix app I can hear Netflix sound on my Yamaha.

Well after getting a Samsung UN55F7100 and dealing with Samsung's support they said that something is wrong with the TV. Which pretty sure wasn't the case but to please them I took it back for another. Guess what same issue! After talking to the wife we decided to get the UN60F7100 knowing going to have the same issue. It does. Again dealing with Samsung support is lacking to say the least. After about an hour dealing with them and telling me that isn't how ARC works etc, etc, etc. I have been using ARC for MANY years now and I know how it works and how to hook it up. This is the first time using a Samsung TV so the ANYNET+ is new but seems pretty much the same as say Sony's Bravia. I have used Sony, LG and Panasonic fine using ARC with my Yamaha.

Is there sometime I am making missing that needs to be turned on?

It works fine when turning on my Sony Blu Ray, my Xbox 360 and DirecTV. When I change volume with remote I even see the RX-A800 on screen showing me changing vol up and down.

I'm new to the LED tv's. the subject above is my first. I was wondering if you still recommend the TV settings that you posted and do you use the 720 motion Plus. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Have you updated your firmware on the Yamaha?
The only thing i can think to do next is verify that it isnt a problem with your reciever. Have you checked one of the other F7100 threads to see if this is a known issue with this TV? I dont have this particular model but i do have a D8000 and a ES6500 both hooked up to Yamaha Recievers RX-A820 and RX-V671 and i use ARC without any major issues. the only way to know for sure is try a different reciever or TV, i would go and buy a reciever to verify its the tv then return it the next day.

Both TV and Yamaha are updated. I know not that Yamaha since I can plug the Sony TV in and works perfectly.

There are two possibities left bad TV or there is some incopatability between the RX-A800 and the F7100. So you have a choice to make,
1. Keep both devices and run optical audio cable for smarthub sound.
2. Replace TV
3. Replace Reciever.

Good Luck,

Good Luck,

I am keeping both. I know its the TV since it's been replaced 3 times now with same issue. I have sound on the receiver if I manually change the input to AV4. It's the TV not passing the HDMI-CEC code to tell receiver to switch sound source. However interesting that when I manually change it when exiting the Smart App it does send code to switch to correct sound source of DirecTV.

I got 7100 and so far i love it. on occasion when switching between sources on the samsung TV i get the message that the dvice isn't available message. Is there any way to turn the messaging off? As usually a second later the device is on and working and even showing on the screen but your can't get rid of the message without hitting ok on the remote. would rather just not get the message. any ideas?

I have the same issue I have not figured out how to disable it. The only good thing is it does go away after about 60 seconds if your patient.

I just bought the F7100 60 inch and have it hooked up to internet (wireless) and charter cable. Its happened a couple of times now when the picture goes from bright to very very dim. One time it almost went black. This seems to be happening randomly so far. A couple of times we restarted the tv and that solved the issue, and once it became normal on its own. Not sure what is going on here. Anyone experience this issue or know how to solve it?

Hey all, (new member here but been reading these forums for years) just got my 55" 7100 last week and im in love with it. From what the guys at bestbuy told me; it's just as good as the F8000 minus the camera. They also told me Samsung discontinued one of their newer models after the 7100 and mass produced this model because it got such good reviews and sold very well. I too am looking for the optimum visual settings for watching Blu ray movies, etc.

Edit: Almost forgot to mention the best part of getting this TV. Best buy price matched for me. Basically i downloaded "RedLazer" app onto my phone. Had the guy write down the barcode off the box for me and i searched for it in the RedLazer app. Best price is found online was $1,391.99 from BuySquad.com (a website that isnt even in their price match website list) Needless to say the rep applied this price to Buy.com and matched it for me in the computer. Total came out to $1500.4 roughly. Talk about a good day!!

Ok guys, so I've been reading reviews about the F7100 religiously for a couple days. One question I have is whether or not individual input settings are saved? I don't want to have to toggle game mode on every time I fire up my trusty 360. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 65" F100 next Tuesday. I have a coupon for hhgregg for 15% off which would bring the price down to $2100 roughly. I just like the look of the thinner bezel as compared to the wider (slightly) bezel on the 60". Thanks in advance!

Mine does the same thing. Whenever I which inputs from my receiver or change channels in DirecTV from SD to HD or HD to SD.

I bought the Sam's Club model, UN65F7050 and experienced the same thing once. After turning it off and on, the problem went away.

Is this common? a problem or a feature?

I just bought this TV yesterday, I don't know if anyone is having issue with too much light on the left corner edges.
I've replaced four LG TVs cause of the same issue, then replaced with Samsung F7100 60inches but seems like it has the same issue.

I can see too much light in the corner specially when watching a movie with some dark scenes.

I tried adjusting the backlit, it helped but I don't wanna watch a movie with backlit 6/7.

Is this me or the TVs ? or have I been too picky?

Please advise.

Thanks
