LG PA70G owners - What size screen are you watching your projector with?

Got my room done and painted and now I am debating screen size. I have a really dark room and want to order a screen but the size and gain is throwing me for a loop. I want to go as big as possible so I am guessing at least 1.1 - 1.3 gain?

What size/gain are you watching your LG Pa70g on and thoughts?

Screen size is based on your seating distance from screen. What is yours?

My room is 35ft long but I am just going to use half of it. I am limited by the 700 lumens.

I didn't ask how long your room was. I asked what is your seating distance from screen?

I don't own that projector, but that doesn't matter.

New house and no furniture at this time. I can put my seating at any range. I also have 10ft ceilings. I can avoid cutting drywall if I put my screen on the narrow wall and not the long wall and that would limit my seating to about 13-14 ft.

13-14 ft is around my seating distance and I have a 106" screen for my LG PA70G and I think it's perfect. biggrin.gif

For 13' to 14' I would go with a white screen between 110" and 120" diagonal, 1.0 gain.

Go with a 1.3-1.4 gain screen or if you can. Around 100 to 110in at max. This projector isn't bright enough for a 1.0 screen. I had similar experiences.

With any projector, I try to get at least 20ftL with a projector. I know its rated at 700 lumens, but I don't know how much in best mode. I assume between 550-600, but that's just a guess. You don't want the projector to seem too dim because of a too big screen. A dim picture with low contrast, will not look good.

I'm getting around 2Lm right now lol...
Seriously:D

EDIT: Fail for having to edit a two line reply

I have it hooked up and blasting onto a gray wall at 120" and it looks great in low light. I am guessing buying a screen with a 1.3 gain will brighten things up though I am happy with the pic the way it is.

1.0 gain 100" image. I use 120hz to brighten it up. Looks great to me.
