Complex Setup with 7 Computers sharing one TV not working

So we have a TV that needs to be shared with 7 computers. They need to connect to a Yamaha HTR-4065 Receiver which only has 4 HDMI inputs so we needed to add an HDMI switcher (Kinivo 501BN), but the problem is that some of the computers don't display properly. One Macbook Pro displays fine, the other displays grey static. The iMac displays something, but at after exactly a set number of seconds it will flash grey static. The Mac Pros that run off of a splitter don't work at all. And lastly the Windows PC does work. I think the issue may be the EDID is getting lost through all those devices, but I'm not sure because I haven't had much experience setting up something as complex as this. Hopefully somebody can help me out. Thanks in advance. Attached is a Visio diagram of the setup. war room.jpg 345k .jpg file

I'm not even going to ask why you are doing this...

You can do a JPG attachment that doesn't require it to be downloaded to view.

I'm doing this as a collaborative space for some design people. They want to each be able to present what they have created from their own computer to the TV. I guess my question in a more basic form would be can I chain an HDMI splitter into a receiver which goes to an LCD?
