As of 8:30pm Central time they had 15 at this price in warehouse. A two year black tie(geek squad) is only $170 for 2 years this covers burn-in and dead pixels.

The ST60 offers calibration controls found in the VT series, but lacks the dual core, 8-train sound system, THX (2D/3D) modes. I was in the same boat, but since I am a gamer the GT50 offered much better lag measuring in the 20-36ms range as opposed to the 47-80ms (in some cases) found on the ST60. I don't know what the real world usage will benefit from the additional 12,000 gradation step the GT50 offers?

I think I'm going to keep the ST60, I don't really care about the sound, I have a HT setup, the lag on the other hand, I guess we'll see how that goes with my Xbox and PS3. I think I'm going to stick with the ST60.

FYI, if you have a Costco membership, you can get a Squaretrade warranty for cheap instead of the BB Geek Squad one.

You do not need a Costco membership to be able to buy the SquareTrade warranty. I bought one for my 60GT50 and it was only $5 additional for being a non-member.

What does Costco charge for their warranty? Less than what it would be just to go directly to ST?

Yes, its a huge difference. I don't know all the price ranges, but for example on a $700 to $999 TV, Squaretrade charges $145.99 for 4 years. Costco is $59.99.

Isn't Costco for 3 years though? You only get the extra year if you purchase the TV from Costco.

So I went and had a look.

SquareTrade $700-999.99 3-years = $109.99
Costco ST $500-1000 3-years = $59.99

So a $50 difference on the three year warranty.

Assuming you bought the TV from Costco, they have their own contingency which would take place before the ST only plan, but would run parallel to the manufacture's warranty. So that would get you 5 years of protection where SQ only would get you 4.
If you are buying the TV elsewhere and only planed on purchasing 3 years then it appears that getting the ST warranty through Costco is the better deal.

Never mind answered my own question, it does not. Burn-in associated with plasma/CRT phosphor based technology is not covered.
