This is art. Brilliant television, without question. Don't argue with me. Beautiful writing and acting. An unbelievably powerful show.

Yeah. He ended up sitting pretty. He'll take the credit for bagging Sully, and all his other loose ends are apparently tied up.

( I was wrong on a earlier posting ) I re-watched the scene where Micky shot Van the odd FBI agent & it 'was' a large auto 9 mil not the revolver Mickey used during the BJ thing .It's the same auto 9 mil that Bunchy used to shoot the priest . So did they use that gun to shoot the FBI agent in the arm on the boat ? , so that ties Van's murder to Sully as well maybe ? . I'll have to re-watch the boat scene again as Ray throws one gun into the harbor .
But Ray did get the Bunchy house money back from Sully , that was the red bag on the beach at the end .

I was also wondering about the resolution of the dead FBI agent. If they connected it to Sully, I missed that.

The FBI agent (Frank?) that Ray had on the take and leaned on pretty hard to initiate the fall of Agent Miller with his superiors seemed all smiles when it appeared that he would get to claim credit for bringing down Sully, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives.

I was an ok finale, I don't know if I'd show the same phrase as everyone else here... I do have to say for all James Wood's nastiness I think he upstaged Voight.

trying to avert my eyes so i don't see any of the comments above regarding the finale, i just wanted jump in here quickly to say how much i am enjoying this show. after having dvr'd all the episodes this summer, i am just now getting around to viewing them. i'm only 3 episodes in but i am fully captivated and looking forward to how the season plays out. hopefully after the finale i will be still be loving the show as much as i am now and will be ready to commit to the 2nd season.

thank you ray donovan for coming into my life. you are helping me get over the recent loss of two other special men in my life. dexter morgan and walter white.

Finally got around to a marathon watch over 3 days .. earlier in the season, I had commented either here or on another thread that I was considering deleting RD from my DVR since space was getting a little thin .. a few other members talked me out of it and I must say I'm glad they did ... a great show, with some excellent acting and writing all around ..

Was this to be a one season single run .. ?? It seemed like they did a pretty good wrap up in the finale ...

Hank Azaria, Sherilyn Fenn Join Showtime’s ‘Ray Donovan’
By THE DEADLINE TEAM | Wednesday February 5, 2014 @ 3:18pm PST | deadline.com

Hank Azaria and Sherilyn Fenn have signed on for multi-episode arcs on the upcoming second season of Showtime‘s drama series Ray Donovan. Azaria will play James Cochran, the ambitious head honcho of the Los Angeles FBI who becomes a thorn in Ray’s (Liev Schreiber) side, and Fenn will play Cochran’s frumpy wife Holly Cochran. Ray Donovan stars Schreiber as LA’s best professional fixer, the man called in to make the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls’ most complicated and combustible situations go away. Production on the 12-episode second season from the Mark Gordon Co is underway in Los Angeles for a summer premiere. Azaria recently starred in Lovelace and reprised his role as Gargamel in The Smurfs 2. Fenn recently wrapped the film Unnatural opposite James Remar and Graham Greene. Azaria is repped by WME; Fenn by Cynthia Campos Greenberg and Mavrick Artists.
