If only you knew what you were talking about. Your middle of the road Sharp LED-LCD is not the best money can buy...in fact, you would have a Sharp Elite or a Sony XBR65HX950 in the realm of LED-LCD if you were being honest. On top of that, those don't eclipse the best Plasmas in every realm of PQ. I know all of the above must be painful as evidenced by you continually muddying up this thread. Be gone with you.

"Tiny a" is gonna feel the sting of that one - probably crying in his momma's basement as we speak - poor guy, that was harsh comment on his beloved LCDs tongue.gif

My Sharp is just as good as any Sony or Sammy out there. I'm very happy with it's high level of performance. I don't really care what you think.
No, it really isn't, and that's not just what I think (nowhere did I mention Samsung, but I'm sure they have some sets on par with your precious, if not better). Objectively, your argument falls flat, and that's the primary way to measure picture quality parameters that provide the most accurate, striking picture. Everything that follows is subjective noise.

Seriously, don't falsely use the words "the best that money can buy" when all you purchased was a middle-of-the-road LCD set from Sharp.

My favorite part about this thread is how the forum shows "Recent Images in this thread" and its the Picard Face-Palm.

I just accept that BiggAW is a troll, im done worrying about him now, lol

There was a moment a couple years ago when the top-of-the-line Sharp, the Elite Pro, reached a pinnacle of image quality. The achievement was duly noted by the press and image quality enthusiasts alike.

In 2013 The best TVs out there are coming from Panasonic, and they are plasmas. Not only are they the best TVs out there, apparently they are the best TVs ever. There is also the new Samsung F8500, for situations where brightness levels typically associated with LED TVs is needed, but the quality of plasma is still appreciated.

We all salute to you for being happy with the TV you have.

I wanted a LED-LCD tv so bad after owning my 42" lcd samsung that ive had for over 5 years. I loved that TV and thats y i wanted an LED so bad plus i fell into the whole hype of the paper thin LEDs and how much money they save you a year which i found out to only be a few dollars a year. Well i finally got my 47" LG edge lite LED and at first i was really impressed with the PQ till one night i was watching a movie and noticed some bad clouding. Long story short i returned my LG for another and got the same crappy clouding plus the new set came with vertical banding. Finally decided to bite the bullet after joing this site and learning about plasmas and got my 50ST60. All i can say is and ive said this on a couple threads on here IS I LOVE MY PLASMA!!! Especially my panny ST60. My cuzin was one of those BiggAW kinda guys himself till he came over and was just impressed with the AWESOME PQ of my Panny. Now he has the exact same tv i have and couldnt be happier.

Boys, Boys, let's play nice in the mancave. I am probably the only person on the planet who still has an old clunker (just disposed of). As soon as my built-in entertainment center is done, I plan to run right out and get that Panasonic Plasma you are raving about. I've waited a long time for the best. It sounds worth it to me. Now if I can just find it somewhere . . . smile.gif

so I am far from an expert but have done my research and think this TV is what I want for my new HT room in my house I just bought. Can't wait to get it set up. For the price point (around $1500) is there any thing else anyone would suggest I consider? I am a plasma guy and love panny's. I cannot find this TV anywhere and am beginning to wonder if ?I will be able to...

I guess you can't seem to understand that the TC-PST60 is not an "old Plasma". Look up the concept of "straw man" argument ....rolleyes.gif

Just bought one at Sears to replace a 2.5 year old Samsung PN-58C500 that fell victim to the "pink line syndrome". Serves me right for straying from Panny.

I looked at Sears about ten days ago. No 60" available in stores or online. BB had nothing. They had a demo on floor. Found one at a local chain called video only. Same 1499 price as amazon amazon says one month plus for delivery.

Does anybody have any idea when they will ship more of these? I can't find a single place that has them in stock and nobody knows when more are coming. Very frustrating. My 6 year old LED DLP samsung is dying slowly, more white pixels by the day.

Thanks,
Trent

All depends on what size you're looking for wink.gif
post #112 of 113
Sorry, 60" of course the most popular size. Checked Pauls they are sold out. Cleveland plasma didn't have any on hand either.
The good ones always sell out fast.
