That' may be true. I've registered several Panny products for warranty purposes.

Must be tied to your registration emails from the past. No joy following the link and logging in with my credentials. Oh well, thanks anyway! Looks like they charge tax as well so maybe a better deal to use this as price matching at Amazon if you are outside their taxable realm.

Hi All,

Like many of you I tried the chat and the phone many times yesterday. However, I did throw a hail mary last night and send an email stating the case that Frys had it on sale. I don't know if the timing helped (possibly moved offshore late at night?), but I got a notification for price match today :)

I would recommend anyone that has tried chat attempt to send an email.

The option I chose was:

What can we help you with? -Something Else

Select an Issue: Placing an order

Select Issue Details: Payments and Promotions

Then I sent an email to them, I don't have the exact text becuase it sends through their systems, but I got a reply early EARLY this morning saying they will match it! Same process in that I order at full price and they refund me the $452 difference.

Thanks,

Andrew

Don't feel bad since you'd get better service from other sellers. Problems with shipping, and returns have been reported that I'd hate to go through.

Amazon must not like Hampton Roads and Eastern NC. Had no luck with this price match being the closest frys was in GA. Tried again today and questioned them on their policy cause some stated 100 miles while others stated 50 miles. They did not like that. There is nothing online and could not send me any info on this being an in house written policy. Seems to me they panicked and put this BS out there when these things were flying off the shelf.

This is still a pretty good price. Amazon has the 65" ST60 at closer to 2200 right now but you could probably get them to match Paul's TV price at around 1900 (best price I've seen on Paul's)

Sorry it didn't work for you. Tax is a wash for me since Amazon opened a depot in Virginia so now they are adding state tax to everything I buy. I moved most of my online business to eBay and others. Even with tax its still under $1200. After the lead up to Christmas I suspect you won't find this TV at any price as happened last year with the ST50. Wait until Black Friday and jump on the best deal you can find.

Yeah, I don't want them to get away so I will make a decision soon. Honestly I would be fine with my old 7-year old Samsung except that we have been a one TV household for most of those years now and we want to retire the old one to our bedroom so the wife can watch Netflix with a Roku or Western Digital box while I play Xbox or watch movies she won't watch with me, which is pretty much everything.

So, are there major differences between the S60 and ST60 models? I'm assuming you get no 3D or streaming services with the S60 but other than that is it equal in 2D quality? I really don't care about the 3D stuff.

This is a good price though the discount is no longer avaiable. Before I got the $997 60" match on Amazon, I ordered a 65" they price matched to PaulsTV for $1899. I really wanted the 65", but cancelled it today because $900 for an extra 5" is just too much for me. If I could have used the HHGregg coupon/discount, the 65ST60 still would have been $1845 with taxes/shipping which beats out Amazon/Pauls. However as a value proposition, I perosnally would need to get the 65" delivered for $1600 or less in order to get me to give up on the 60" $997 amazon price match.

Check out this thread.  If it's your main TV then I personally feel the upgrade to the ST60 is worth it.  If this were a no frills bedroom set or one being used in less critical viewing situations (i.e. daytime viewing with larger amounts of ambient light) then I'm not sure I would be as critical.

I feel sorry for you. Read the thread, still people are getting it.

I am going to give it a try from my account and see the response. If possible ask any of your friends to send a price match email from their account.

Just tried again via Amazon chat and was quickly denied. I spoke with a lady at Fry's and she says they will not be getting more stock of this unit as that was probably all they had left for this model. She told me to shop around in the March to April timeframe just before the new models are set to be released. I'm not sure I can wait that long. After the first of the year maybe but I do want an ST60 of some kind before they are all gone.
Can't believe it guys..on the last few pages I posted about getting denied mutliple times ( 10 to be exact). I woke up this morning and the miracle..an email from amazon saying I'be been approved! I just made the purchase and can't believe my luck.

All I have to say is keep trying and trying. They said the knew how many times I had been denied..I guess persistence worked! I think they felt sorry for me ha. I was always extremely kind in the chats/emails.

Now off to read how to brea this in and get ready to run D-nice slides on it.

I too got this deal early this morning, I let them know that I was price matching a TV and that amazons policies do match tv prices, they sent me to the phone and I got the deal approved! now my dilema is wether or not to buy a s60 65" or a st60 60" both at the same price point... any suggestions?

I'd go with the ST60 unless your room is very dark

I think I am ready to take the plunge, i have tried for the past few nights to get amazon to price match the 60" deal on frys but I keep getting shot down. Phone calls, chats and email have all given me a no go. So I am looking at the 65" on Paulstv. They have a 30 price match which will get me through the holiday buying season.

Any thoughts, or comments? I know I will not have buyers remorse with this TV since my current is a 46" westinghouse from 2006.

Thanks.

If you buy through Discover card, you will get the 90 Day price protection too.

Amazon came back and price matched hhgregg. I will be on the hunt for any more price drops as I told the rep that Paulstv has a 30 day guarantee

Did Amazon make you pay tax or shipping on the HHGregg match? Or did they just give you the 65ST60 for $1799?

I'm just waiting for Black Friday / Cyber Monday. Even if there is no price drop, I'll just get it at that point. I would rather pay a bit more and not miss getting the TV I want. I hope HHGregg doesn't up their price though until after Cyber Monday in case the TV doesn't get any adjustment on the two "big" shopping days.

Amazon had already price matched the Paulstv price of 1899, when I emailed them with the HHGregg price they stated they would refund me the difference. tax or shipping did not reduce the refund amount. Total price is now down to 1799

If you check the website bfads.net you can check out the deals posted and ad scans for dozens of stores for Black Friday. I didnt see a panasonic plasma in any of them so we went ahead and bought ours last weekend locally. We preferred the option to pick it up ourselves

I just tried a chat with Amazon, but they wouldn't do a price match with HHGregg because the TV wasn't in stock. Are people getting the price match even though it isn't in stock with HHGregg?

Thanks
I know for a fact that they have one at the Mechanicsburg PA store, zip 17055. I was there last night and it was the last one, however it was open box/display. I told them I am not paying full price and offered 1400, but I could not find out how many hours on it and they did not come down to my price range so I passed. I know the store listed they did not have it in stock when I asked for the price match, but they gave it to me anyway.
Just got the 65" approved for HHGregg's price of $1,799.95 via email. Thanks phishrfriend and all those who have shared this deal! Sadly in VA though I still had to pay tax, but could be a lot worse. Still below the lowest advertised price that Amazon has ever offered for it (according to camelcamelcamel)

Frys appears to have removed Panasonic plasmas from their site. No more price adjustments...good while it lasted.
Well I just popped for the 55" at Paul's TV all in for $1199. The coupon expires tonight and while they may have another offer I was told they are low on the 55" and out of the 50 & 60" models. If nothing else they have the 30 day price guarantee.
It appears that other retailers are running out of some sizes and can't reorder because Panasonic already may have or is about to cease production. No inside knowledge here, just the experience of monitoring price and availability for the past month or so. The $997 deal at Fry's seems the outlier.
Paul's has the 65" back in stock (was out earlier) and I got a price match at Amazon for $1899 but still had to pay tax. *pout*
I used chat and asked for large items department at the start.
