Definitely would have requested the Sierras to be played with a sub or 2 of which they're meant to be played with. Went with the flow and lumped them in with the other speakers in its specs. category (less high efficiency compared to JTR, Yorkville, Seaton, SEOS). In hindsight, I commented to Andrew during lunch that they should have played with a sub.
To clarify further, when I state a sub should have been used with the Sierras, this is based on the large size of Andrew's room, the sound treatments in the room, the Denon 4311 used to solely drive the speaker (without an external amp) and the complexity of the music sweep. How the Sierras perform full range in a smaller space or under different environmental conditions may be a different story.Edited by Rob from NJ - 4/20/13 at 10:16pm
