Where is the list of segments being offered?

The preparation for seeding takes 3 to 4 days so the first segment might be ready towards the end of the week. It has not been decided which segment will be released first either.

So there still some unknowns, even for the Reference team disc.

...should we wait for that or can we download the segments as they're available and then combine them on to one dual layer Blu-ray disc after?

On the prior disc LastButNotLeast deviced had a file that would use the clips from the segments to generate the complete BD50. I say there is no need for waiting, we/he can put out a file like that once again.

The segments for this disc:

- Music
- Animation
- Visual
- Bass
- Surround
- Superheroes

In no particular order (up to now). The clips? Well they are ALL reference material smile.gif.

I'm not really interested in the demo material (my system is lame, I don't need demo material to prove that to me frown.gif ), but this bit sounds interesting. Can you provide a little more info here? Are these separate files or are they part of the demo material? Images or video? Commentary? I would really like to see what these people have. I can't afford to build something for myself; I have to live vicariously through these forums.

Sorry if this sounds vague. What I'm referring to is that we included a picture of the HT / TV setups within the menus.

If you want to see an example of the surround segment landshark1 posted some of the menu grabs on his construction thread.

We/I will be happy to figure out how to do that again.

Very cool! Looking forward to it and I think bass should go first. Of course I missed the one paragraph that listed them! Good luck with the upcoming seed smile.gif

In preparation for the first segment, How Tos on MultiAVCHD and Imgbrn had been posted on the first page post #2.

You might get an "I Spy" of what segment is first biggrin.gif

Not to hijack this thread, but for future consideration... a flight (or crash)disc with scenes from Flight, Castaway, Top Gun, Knowing, Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix etc ... for those with media players you can make your own demos not constrained by the 50 gig limit with MultAVC. (I authored one last night that ended up 68.5 Gigs 5:03 in length),

hi dfergie

Maybe you can open another thread and post a torrent link of your demo disc ?

I wish, I'm on a wireless IP, it would take 3 weeks or more to put up 50 gigs... (live in the country) , perhaps though a thread for those of us with media players that can think/go outside of the BD 50 gig limit though.
Trust me guys, it's well worth the wait! The selection of this series is excellent choice IMO. They are mostly very new movies/clips, and does not repeat of any previous Demo discs' clip. The menu as you saw in my build thread is very well built and it even have Cinemascope screen format in mind. It'll be the new standard of Demo disc! wink.gif

Oh, if you have to ask me, I would vote for Superhero Leo. wink.gif
post #56 of 695
Oh I'm in for this smile.gif I can't wait for the full BD50 release smile.gif Hopefully in the coming weeks as I am moving in with my gf and I need a good reference disk (I have ScubaSteves disc and Leo's first disc) to add to my collection for convincing her we need more movies and to allow me to continue updating my system hehe
post #57 of 695
I'm excited to seed this out to the users--its good!

I need to go back and do some searches, find fast links to scuba steve's disc and Leo's first one.
Nice work. I would love to get another bass demo. It would be cool if there was a one disc for 2.35:1 content and another for 16:9 so I wouldn't have to keep zooming in and out my projector. lol
post #59 of 695
Leo, looking good. I think you're doing everything I initially wanted to do with my first project. I'm sure your Scenarist project looks like an interesting web. You should put up a screenshot of that.

I'll be holding till the full disc, with a popcorn hour as my media player it makes no sense otherwise.

Let me know if you want me to be an advanced seeder for that. hint hint wink wink.
