How is the transition from 64 to 60 ? I am been debating between the the 60 vs 64/65 inch since the price difference is big between the two.
After adjusting a few things I think it actully looked a little better then the Samsung while watching Avatar. I would not choose either TV based on the 3d. They both work fine.
The glasses the Panasonic come with are light and comfortable. If you wear prescription glasses they fit but kind of fall off.
I also have the Samsung $20 glasses, 5100GB I believe which are fine as well. Also got to keep 2 pairs of Samsung glasses they gave me with the Samsung TV. They weren't the ones that shipped with the TV and are a better rechargeable model. I like those the best followed by the $20 Samsung's. Only because these fit over prescription glasses better. Otherwise the Panasonic glasses are great.
I never had a 64". I went from a 8 year old 52" JVC HD-dila to a 55" LG 7600 LED for a few weeks, then the Samsung in a 60" to the ST60 in a 60". I did go through other LG 55" inch LED models below the 7600 as well. Oh yeah, I had also tried an LG plasma as well, the 60" 6700 2012 model.
I actually never wore glasses before but decided I needed to finally get them because it was hard to see the 3d and I was needing to squint. Much better with glasses now. Lol
TBH, with all the stellar reviews that keep coming out for the ST60, you might regret not getting it but like I said, both TV'S are good. Some people would rather go bigger and maybe sacrifice a little pq to do so. You just have to decide what is more important to you. The Samsung is no slouch either way, just a bit older.Edited by eric3316 - 4/22/13 at 8:58pm
