Konica, so much appreciate the tips -- particularly the stand brackets. Will make certain to look for that.
It is being delivered in the coldest temperatures we have experienced recently on the East Coast.
There won't be a lot of time for that display to warm up. It will arrived as chilled as can be.
Is there a problem with turning it on so soon? I am sort of forced to do it under the circumstances.
That is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear.
I have a LG THX 3D plasma. It has a lot of punch to it. Picture has that 3D (without 3D being on) look to it. Its very sharp. Very vibrant.
That is why I had so much trouble moving to the Panasonic ZT60. That display looks softer, less sharp, and with no picture punch.
Is that the way a good plasma should look? Perhaps. A Panny would beat an LG any day. But it doesn't line up with my preferences and what my eyes have gotten used to seeing.
What don't you just keep your LG? You seem really happy with it. It seems it's one thing or another you don't like about the ZT or F8500.
And if you're seriously(?!) going to turn on the display immediately after it's been in these freezing temperatures, then you need to take full responsibility for damaging the display - because it will happen.
