Picked up the 65VT60 and the 50ST60 for 3300 out the door from Best Buy. The receipt shows the 65 as $2399 and the 50ST60 as 899. I got a screen cleaner so tax was $1.94. Seriously, the receipt only taxed the screen cleaner. I am shocked that they lowered the price below amazon and everyone else on the ST and STILL knocked off taxes (not by lowering the price of the TV either). Is that even legal?
Best Buy will still pay taxes on that purchase, it just doesn't list them on your receipt based on the way they rung up the transaction. That is not really how they are supposed to do it, but there is nothing illegal about it.
