I understand. Perhaps the ZT thread would've given you some cover. wink.gif However, all of this has been discussed in both of those threads.

Prices are all 35% off now:
65VT60: $2149
60VT60: $1749
55VT60: $1499

Even though the soundbar combo deal is over, those who just bought the combo can still claim the discount AND get the soundbar, what a bargain!

Wow on the new VT60 deal. I have an ST60 - 60" on order from Best Buy at $1,499.00. I didn't think the VT60 - 60" was worth $500.00 more. I'm now wondering if for $249.00 more I should change my order..... 3D isn't my thing and the TV is in a well lit family room. I thought I had read that 3D is better on the VT60 and that the panel is more reflective on the VT60.

Anyone have thoughts/suggestions on this?

Are these prices at Amazon their new "norm" or is it a limited time offer/sale?

I would do it for $249. Lower input lag too.

I can only laugh, I was hoping that you would not have to go through that ordeal. Glad to see you have a October build, I guess the White Glove is hit or miss, I will be talking to Pauls CS on Friday to see what they'll do about my WG experience. You have a nice set up, how far are you from the screen?

Yea, it was pretty rediculous for a delivery company. I haven't contacted Paul's yet as I was away for the thanksgiving weekend, but will tomorrow. I am sitting 9' away from the TV , not sure if that's the correct distance or not. I want to move the couch around a bit and get a recliner to be the primary position. Have you done the slides? I got 3 days of them done while I was away so it was good timing.

Panasonic TC-P60VT60 60-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Smart Plasma HDTV (Includes 2 Pairs of 3D Active Glasses and Built-in Camera) for $1749.00

I believe this is one of the lowest prices available.

Man. $2149 for the 65VT60 is great. Now I need to head to Best Buy and see if I can get a bit of a refund. Just out of curiosity does anyone know how it works when you become an Elite Plus member. I am about seven days past the 15 day return window. However, this purchase put me in Elite Plus status that has a 45 day return window. I was curious if the longer return window will apply to the purchase that put me in Elite Plus.

I was just approved for my second price match refund on the 65" from Amazon. I never tried to go for the sound bar after the fact, as I would only get it to sell it. Very happy with the TV for $2150 with free shipping, a great delivery experience (and a $20 tip), and no tax paid. Add $100 for the Costco warranty, and I feel that I managed to get a great deal overall.

Thanks to this thread I just got my $150 back plus I have the soundbar

I bought my 65VT60 from Paul's for $2,299 - they refuse to adjust since Amazon charges tax to NY and they adjust only the out the door price frown.gif
post #1154 of 3266
had amazon just change the price of my VT60 that hasnt shipped out yet. I also have a refund for the soundbar coming! Woot!
Daaaaaang. That's a good a deal! And I thought it'd "never go lower" than the $2400 I paid in October. Good for you guys! According to Speakerphile this price is practically cost so I wonder if they're almost out of inventory at this point.

I purchased the 65" just over a week ago for $2380. Does anyone know whether or not Best Buy will match this Amazon price? I am not sure whether or not they will unless BB has a current lower price than what I paid.

Looks like I'll have to email my sales rep at Paul's TV (again) to see about my hopefully 2nd price match with Amazon's $2149 price.... hopefully I will get the $150 refund since I'm 29 days into my 30day purchase protection:-) well see what happens....

The price match policy clearly states that they will match Amazon. If you are within your return window you should be fine.

That, or just stop in the store with your receipt.

1-888-BEST-BUY is giving me the runaround now. They are telling me that the price match does not start back up until 12/3/13!!! The week between Thanksgiving and the 3rd, I was told they will not honor an Amazon price match mad.gif
post #1163 of 3266
man, these prices are hard to pass up. currently have a 60" LG60PK550. Looking at the 60 or 65 VT60.
The prices are pretty crazy. The VT60 is actually cheaper than the ST60 right now at Amazon. I wonder how long this deal is going to last.

I wonder if that applies to new purchases too? I just tried to add the 65" and the 60" for store pick up and they all say unavailable which triggers a $69.99 delivery charge. Maybe too big for the store to handle?! I would think in order to price match, they have to deliver for free too.

Maybe I'll just buy via Amazon - looks like it will show up Thursday morning. No hassle, no calling 888-BEST-BUY, etc.
Just grabbed me a 65VT60 for 2285$ delivered from Amazon. Good thing I'm sending back and getting a refund from Pauls for the 60!! Woohoo what a deal 2149$ Brand new??? Never thought it would go that low on Amazon.
Is Paul's price matching Amazon? If they do- I'll go ahead and order from them in order to save the extra $178.37 that Amazon charges for sales tax in AZ.

The way I saw it was that this will be my last TV until next gen technology becomes more affordable and matches the picture quality of these plasmas (which will be at least 5 years). So what is a few hundred bucks over 5+ years?

Makes perfect sense - this forum is bad for my wallet! I am returning a 60" Samsung (truly awful compared to the 50" Kuro that went to the bedroom) and going for a 65" high end plasma for almost $1K more than the Samsung. All good though and I agree - my next TV will not be until the next gen pricing comes down to earth.
