Panasonic VT60 Deals... - Page 82

Finally got mine hooked up and the picture is stunning. Either my samsung dlp wasn't as great as I thought, or I wasn't expecting enough because I am blown away by the upgrade. The panel is plenty bright once you get it out of standard mode. I am currently using THX cinema but I am drawn to THX bright room and find myself constantly switching and comparing. Once the 100 hour safety zone is over I will try and dial in the settings.

Well Amazon gave me a $75 refund for my shipment being late and with the 2% rewards it'll come out to less than $1900 overall.

How do I check when my Panasonic was made? Just want to see when the build date is so that I know whether the fan thing was fixed. I am getting the 65VT60 today.
Mfg date is printed on the back with the serial number. Just received my 65"VT from Amazon with an Oct. date.

Cool, hope everything works out. I was actually hoping to hear from someone that ordered online from Brandsmart and was having it shipped though. I found a way to get one without having to take the 800 gift card and just getting the price reduced by that much.

Seems like most people who ordered from Amazon recently are reporting Oct builds. I bought one of the last ZT60's from Best Buy in CA region and it has an April build and fan noise.

My VT is coming in a few days!

My Brandsmart VT60 was delivered by Brandsmat bright and early. Great delivery guys and setup. I went back to brandsmart and they still had inventory so I bought another one for $2997 then got another $800 gift card that they immediately applied back to my account, they also discounted their 5 year warranty to $359. Second VT60 comes Thursday. I am reading the fine print so depending on what it says I may cancel both VT60 extended warranties and go get SquareTrade.

I actually purchased in store. I am not usually a Brandsmart or Frys fan due to weak customer service and numerous hurdles for returns, but will say this buy was good. A bit frustrating as they had to figure out the gift card, but in the end they applied the gift card back to my account, so I got the TV for $2197 then $359 for 5 year warranty. Still debating on whether to keep their extended warranty or refund those and go Square Trade. When I went back to day to purchase the second VT60 today it went well.

I just got my VT60 form Amazon. The darn thing was built in July 2013, so probably has the fan issue. Can any one please let me know how to get the fix from Panasonic. Is there a procedure, do I need to register the product and then contact Panasonic. If you already went through this, please help.

My VT is coming in a few days!

My 65VT came yesterday from amazon, purchased on Monday with approx 375 left in stock, build date October 2013.

Just got my 65VT yesterday from Amazon and got a Sept build zero hours.

Well I have one delivered 65VT60 from Brandsmart and another coming Thursday and now Amazon changed my Order to "Preparing to Ship" so it looks like I am covered. Value Electronics had a few 65VT60s in stock I was going to reserve one, but looks like I have my bases covered for now.

Ordered mine with about 200 left in stock. It's coming tues! Got enough time to break it in before the SuperBowl!

So you have three TVs coming? Why? Are you keeping them all?

I have one that was delivered Saturday, another being delivered Thursday and Amazon show my ordered VT60 as Preparing fro Shipment. When all done I plan on keeping 2 and cancelling or refusing one. I don't want to cancel anything until I have the second in hand and confirm it has no issues since these are so rare.
Another Brandsmart TV is coming Thursday is local and those delivery guys were great with the first one and it was a factory sealed October build. So unless Amazon's ships and confirms for delivery before Thursday I will probably get the second Brandsmart one and cancel the Amazon order . Besides the Bransmart sets were $2997 plus $800 gift card which they immediately reapplied back to my account, so basically I got 2 65VT60s for $2376 each with tax, hard to argue with that.

I really did not want 2 TVs as I still have my VT50, but seeing as I don;t think there will be anything to beat these VT/ZT models for a few years I want 2 current VT60s and am selling my VT50 and then see what happens in a few years. My concern right now is OLED will be the next Plasma and never really gain much market share. The main stream public is fine looking at decent LED/LCD sets and will distracted with 4K for a few years to not want to pay even more for OLED. So I think we are 3-5 before a 65 inch OLED is under $4K and then I am not even sure it will happen at all. And truthfully, if I can't sell my VT50 then I will hang on to that and mount it in the bedroom or office to keep all the bases covered. I am willing to sell one of the 3 coming to someone in Atlanta if they give me a deposit and come take it at delivery.

I have been enjoying my new 60VT60 the last couple of weeks. My new VT definitely has significantly darker blacks than my old PZ85U or S1 Pannys. I was seriously considering getting a second VT for the bedroom but no one has them. Amazon, Best Buy, HH Gregg, Frys , Sears are all sold out. So, where is everyone getting them now at a reasonable price?
I may actually start looking at open box VTs... eek.gif

Try Value Electronics, they had a few of the 65 inch version left.

Brandsmart still has some 65" available... coupon codes may still be working which make it 2195...

I have another 65VT60 on order at Amazon that I am going to cancel once I finish my running my slides on Wednesday.

I'll post here when I do, not sure how quickly it will show available....

Iv been out of the country and missed this deal. Would people on this thread agree that the pn64f8500 would be the next best option. Leaving out price since the pn64f8500 is about $3,100. If not what other 65" would be the closest option?

Thanks

Got my VT delivered today... the BB 60ST60 display is going back with its perm. burn-in... am running the slides now... 100 hours may be tough to wait out... am slightly torn as its really a toss up if they help use d-nice's settings or not or if calibration settings are even valid after just 100 hours anyway or if the set changes more (up to 300 hours even?)
But I guess it'll at least help get the set broken in some and slightly less prone to IR...
Also, october build date...

There are some other settings out there which people seem happy with also, no need to live or die with dnice. Check out settings from cnet and sound and vision, someone posted links a few pages back.

Purchased an open-box Panasonic 55VT60 from Best Buy, returned for no apparent reason as it's in excellent condition. $1570 with free delivery. It should be a nice upgrade from my current 50GT25. I was debating waiting and saving up for an OLED, but the curved screen fad is a non starter.

Is this the end of VT60 deals now ? A couple of my friends want to buy the 65VT60 but are there any reports of another wave of stock coming over in Feb that you guys heard of ? I thought Panasonic was manufacturing until March. I wonder even if the stock does come in, will the pricing be anywhere similar to Dec-Jan deal season ones.
Production ceased in December. See here.

No additional stock, guaranteed.

Supposedly QVC is an authorized Panasonic retailer.

http://www.qvc.com/Panasonic-65-Class-VIERA-VT60-Series-1080p-Full-HD-Plasma-TV-Search-Results.product.E270001.html?sc=E270001-SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-2-_-E270001&catentryImage=http://images-p.qvc.com/is/image/e/01/e270001.001?$uslarge$

You all who want to buy a 65VT60 might want to try them.

(I did not buy my tv thru them, so I have no knowledge about how good they are, or if they have any).

B&H also has the 65VT60 but for $2995 with free shipping and usually no tax.

I will beat that deal!

Looks like the BrandsMart deal was the last significant discount that will be had on these. Unfortunately, that deal is dead now.

You guys who purchased from BrandsMart, how quickly did you receive?
