Panasonic VT60 Deals... - Page 32

ABT is a very reputable company! If you get a deal through them, no worries!
Yes, I should mention that I had a preorder with them for the ZT early this year. I got tired of waiting for the exclusivity contract with Best Buy to expire who offered me a deal I couldn't refuse, so I cancelled the order. ABT offered a Best Buy pricematch (making it more enticing since ABT was tax-free), but I ultimately decided to go the safer route via Best Buy so that I could return it with greater ease if need be. ABT apologized for the trouble and sent me a $100 gift card as a gesture of goodwill. Upstanding company.

Best But in Appleton, WI would not price match Pauls's, the lowest the would go on the 65VT60 is $2599 and the local manager would not budge from that number which is unfortunate. Looks like I will be hitting up Paul's for the TV.

You guys think it was a mistake to get a 60VT60 (1799$) and not jump for the 65VT60 (2399$) for 600$ more? The 65" is now 2299 but was 2399 at the time I purchased the 60". I just felt 5 extra inches doesn't justify the price point.

On a side note I was looking on slick deals for a few things and came across the 60ZT60 had a deal at Pauls for 2299$. Thought it was quite a grab for someone who wanted one. I personally would save 500$ and go with the VT since the difference isn't all that much.

If you're sitting at least 9 feet out, yes, I think it was a mistake. wink.gif

But they charge sales tax since they are located in CA and I'm trying to avoid that. So I went online to ABT Electronics and started a chat. Asked them if they would price match Pauls and within seconds had a reply that they would price match. So they'll sell it to me for $2299.99 out the door. No sales tax or shipping. I have my reps name and I also saved the chat in an email form for back up purposes. I also asked if they're was anything else they could do to lower it even more. Any type of additional incentives, sound bar, hdmi cables, etc. Can't hurt to ask. He said when I call him directly we'll make some things happen.. I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal and I'm ready to jump on it.

Someone on this thread stated they got the 65VT60 for $2000.

So, you know they have a little lower that they can go!

Just bought a new townhouse and will be moving in at the beginning of next month. I'm looking at the 55 or 60VT60 from Best Buy since I have $400 worth of gift cards and would like to know if you guys are aware of any pre-Christmas or Super Bowl sales?

Also considering purchasing from Amazon since I have $300 worth of gift cards, how does the white glove delivery service work?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Where did you get the 60VT60 for $1799? I went to ABT but they wouldn't price match one of the crappy retailers for $1739, but they did bring it down to$1999 which I thought was outstanding, but then I saw your post. The main lure of ABT for me was no tax though.

Do you guys think I should pull the trigger on a tax free $1999 60VT60 or is it extremely foolish to pull the trigger 2 weeks prior to the black Friday/cyber Monday time of year?

What is ABT's Price Match Guarantee if prices drop in two weeks?

What about Paul's TV? What if they have a "better" coupon in a few weeks?

Can anyone provide insight? I, too, am nervous about buying something so close to the holiday rush.

At the same time, I'm worried about stock running out once the shopping craze begins...

That was the price at Paul's about 3 weeks ago. That's when I bought my 60VT60.

At this moment Amazon has the 65VT60 for 2399.
Just bought the 65VT60 through ABT Electronics for $2648.... Went through Shopdiscover which gives a 10% Holiday Bonus, plus the 5% up to 1500 for online shopping through December..... Discover also has a 90 day price protection policy, so one of their customer reps told me give them a call after I buy it, initiate a claim, and they will cut a check for the difference between Pauls TV and ABT for $350. All in all if everything turns out as it should the TV should cost just a shade under $2K.

What do you guys think?

I got the 55" from Paul TV for 1549.00
Well the utility inspector came by just a while ago to verify I have a new Panasonic TV in the house. I am approved for my $100 energy star rebate. So that brings the cost of the TC-P60VT60 to $1625 including the CA sales tax and the $233 credit that amazon gave me last week for the value of the sound bar. In another week the 2% cash back hits my account as a credit which will be in the form of a $34 amazon store credit bringing it down to just under $1600 OOTD with 24 months to pay.

Not bad, eh?

Have you ever heard that saying "The checks in the mail"..

Good luck, nice purchase. Hope all your refunds works out..

Does the 60ST60 qualify for that as we'll in Illinois?? Or where can I check to find out, thanx in advance
post #950 of 3261

Just got the 60VT60 for $1999.99 off of Amazon with the 2 week price guarantee. Hopefully it will go down again haha but doubtful. Also got the 5 year square trade warranty. Maybe this is buyer's remorse but if I lose out on a deal for 1799.99 or something over the holidays, no big deal. I would be more unhappy if it started to sell out, and I didn't get it at all.

Can someone point me to a thread about breaking these suckers in? I also purchased the xbox one but read you shouldn't play games on it the first 100-200 hours.

It Is something local utility is doing. Check with them. Plasmas dont generally qualify but I applied anyhow. They approved it. YMMV.

When I purchased my first Panasonic 65VT25 right when it came out - they were offering free 3D blu-ray players along with free 3D blu-ray movies, etc...

Now, there is nothing...

Still can't decide if I should get the insurance from Costco for my 55VT60, haven't bought an insurance yet for my last 4 HDTV's and haven't had a single issue...

Their display business is going under...I doubt incentives are at the top of their mind.

If there is any thought of you selling it, you should get the warranty. I have never gotten a warranty for any of my tvs before, but I am getting one for mine because I may want to sell in a couple years.

TC-P65VT60 delivered today from Pauls TV $2299 shipped, delivery was great included free white glove, everthing checked out fine running breakin slides now. October 2013 Build date shipped from there Denver store to NY 7 days.
Glad I went with Pauls TV as they are an authorzed dealer and offer a 30 day price match. Great company would suggest getting from them for the piece of mind over East Coast or any others Amazon would not price match gave me a hassle so I went with Pauls.
Hopefully the price drops a little more in 30 days so I can get a credit.smile.gif
