That's good news! It's been decades since I saw some of those.

I have a capsule review and DVD thumbnails of one of them: The Masque of the Red Death (1964).

That's Jane Asher as the redhead. She's still working!

Looks like a great set although I wish it included Dr Phibes Rises Again which is as good as the first one, imo. The MGM dvd transfers of the Poe flicks generally looked really good so I'm hoping this collection isn't a let-dwn transfer-wise.

I love Vincent Price (got me hooked as a kid with The Hilarious House of Frightenstein) and his films, still it's missing my favorites like:

The Raven (1963)
The Last Man on Earth (1964)
Theatre of Blood (1973)

and most notably Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine.

There's a lot of great movies missing from the collection. I hope they plan on making a second, it could easily be done.

The Last Man on Earth is available on blu-ray.

Some of these movies have popped up on various HD cable channels. For the most part, the broadcast masters looked quite good with little overt print damage and a relatively film-like picture considering the heavy levels of compression. I expect great things from this Blu-ray set.smile.gif

The Last Man on Earth is available on blu-ray.

I assume you mean the DE version which is not exactly what I want.

Yep, that's what I meant. Wasn't sure if you knew or not. Foreign releases do not garner much attention around here.
If you're region free at home it helps. smile.gif

Artwork has been revealed.

From famousmonsters.com -

Check out the classy new artwork for our upcoming Blu-ray set of THE VINCENT PRICE COLLECTION, illustrated by artist Joel Robinson.
The image on the left will be on the slipcase. The image on the right – with a clever “skull” reveal – will be on blu-ray case that will house the following films: Fall of the House of Usher, The Haunted Palace, The Masque of the Red Death, The Pit and the Pendulum, Witchfinder General (and its alternate U.S. version, The Conqueror Worm) and The Abominable Dr. Phibes. A 24-page booklet will also be included that will include original theatrical poster images. The set is planned for Fall before Halloween. Look for more details on extras and exact street date later on this Summer.

Glad to see this being released before Halloween.
