What do you actually mean by this? Not sure we see the same thing; the term judder
gets thrown around a little too loosely.
In my case, I watch a lot of anime which has panning scenes that really show off the horrors of 24fps judder
-- tons of flicker on moving edges, etc. What I have found is that AMP Clear does a good job of removing the edge flickering in this content. It is much better than AMP Custom[10,0,off]. I'm not exactly sure what AMP Clear is doing, but there is some image processing involved (on extremely rare occasions I can see artifacts) but it's not frame interpolation. I have not seen AMP Clear introduces any kind of stuttering.
As far as other kinds of stutter related to AMP, I did notice that AMP Standard/Smooth/Custom[dejudder] can cause a consistent hiccup in scene changes when the new scene is panning. This is presumably caused by the motion processor waiting to see what the motion directions will be etc. (With 100ms+ of delay, I'm surprised though.)
