OK, you know what?? Game mode stops the scene edit glitch! Now this brings upmore questions...like WHY!!!!
What does game mode do I asked myself. I found this online:
I researched this topic not too long ago and you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Game mode on televisions eliminates the post processing of video signals which cleans up the video feed in exchange for a faster response time on the video feed. Meaning the picture looks less pretty but it'll be displayed in a faster/more accurate way as it was intended which on timing based games like rock band or guitar hero means everything.
So it has something to do with the signal processing...
Now to complicate my problem more, it seems to be the worse on HGTV...but not all shows ( although I noticed on The History Channel slightly and possibly Food Channel) Very strange.
I am sure I have Noise Reduction and MPEG Noise Reduction off in all my modes but I'll double check.
IAlso, watched a BluRay last night and again no issues.
So it seems that there is a possible problem in the processing in all modes except Game Mode. To me this is kinda unacceptable and indicates there is a problem somewhere. Keep in mind that my issue is not a "motion" issue, but a problem in the TV's ability to process the quick scene edits smoothly.
WHat to do, what to do.
Thx Howlrunner for that Game mode tip...
