What do you use for gaming audio?

I share a room with my wife. She has a 43" Samsung plasma for watching things like Vampire Diaries. We struggled with conflicting audio for awhile before I began the hunt for the perfect gaming/movie headphone set-up.

I tried everything from Turtle Beach PX5's too Astro A50's before I settled on what I feel is the ideal set of phones. I picked up a set of Steelseries 7H Pro-gaming headphones (optimized for 3D directional audio) and paired them with the Astro Mix-amp 5.8 ( for a wireless Virtual 5.1/7.1 Dolby Surround solution).

I am having my first child in July and needed a wireless solution. I wear glasses, so comfort was another consideration. The Astro A50 offered a perfect solution, but having the mix-amp and batteries in the headset made for a migraine inducing game session. The Steelseries are very light and put little pressure on the earpieces of my glasses and the mix-amp is fantastically tuned for film (Prometheus/Tron:Legacy) and gaming (Uncharted/Deadspace).
Please share your preferred personal audio set-up.

Great sound, pretty light and comfortable, I wear glasses too. Same dolby headphone that astro uses.

You can order them direct from there when they get back in stock.

They have the PLYR 2 in stock. A lot cheaper, but doesn't do virtual surround. If you have a receiver in your setup, you can get the virtual surround functionality though that.
