A new fuse in the unit does not get it to power up! Is it completely blown? Any ideas or suggestions? Help!
TIA to all of you
Apparently (?) you didn't pull the power cord and attached components, let the unit sit to drain residual power (can be up to 2+ hours on 515 and 53x machines), and discharge static electricity in your body before delving inside???
Here are some basic precautions to take when opening the case to work inside.
Only thing I can suggest now is to make sure fuse is a good one, then replace lid and try a Soft Reset, as described here.
At this point, I'd do the Soft Reset with no other components connected, like your TV. If no joy, you can try the Soft Reset several times to be sure.
P.S. I hope the new fuse you used was the "correct" type (something else to check and make sure of?).
