Ok, my bad, they have had 3 in the past 4years, so average is 1.3 years. It seems like it is every 8 months, but that's what happens when you have kids, your brain goes to crap. It's hard to keep up with all the internet direct stuff cause it's changing all the time.

?

According to owners threads here at AVS, Oppo introduced the 83 in Feb 2009
The 93 came out Nov 2010, 1 1/2 yrs later
The 103 thread started Oct 2012, almost 2 yrs after the 93.

Must be the kids.....rolleyes.gif

So I went back, did my research, and noted that they had 3 in 4 years, just as you have pointed out. Don't know what you were trying to prove with your post. Let's get back to speakers.

He's probably trying to point out that three in four years does not average out to 1.3 years - that would actually be every two years. Feb 2009 to Nov 2010 is 1.75 years and Nov 2010 to Oct 2012 is 1.92 years. The average there is 1.84 years.

Another good speaker option would be Monitor Audio, the gold or platinum line. Fit and finish is amazing. I love their ribbon tweeters, definitely worth a listen if you have a dealer nearby.

I mean the whole 5.1 set retails about $4,600 MSRP, street prices less.

Of course, I wish I could afford the JBL Synthesis LS40's big brother - the $75,000 JBL Synthesis Everest DD67000: biggrin.gif

Now your talking!! I too would love to have the big brother.

Just wondering if you came to any conclusions… since you got suggestions all over the map. eek.gif

Have fun.
